Bulova Mermaid

This vintage 1956 ladies Bulova wristwatch is the rare Mermaid model.
The Swiss Bulova movement is caliber 7BUC with 17 jewels. At 67 years old, this movement still runs great!
The 21 mm diameter chrome plated case/bezel with a stainless steel back shows some wear, indicating it was frequently worn. Despite this, it is still a lovely timepiece. The white dial appears yellow, but it is actually the original crystal that has yellowed. The dial has a very attractive patina that further accentuated its vintage look. The dial features gold applied Arabic numerals (12 and 6) with dot and arrow indices for the rest. Lumes have been applied at the end of each index. The gold hour and minute dauphine hands are also luminous. The sweep second is an eye-catching red with a spade end. The dial is signed Bulova and Swiss, with a faint minute track, all in black.
It comes on a Speidel USA stainless steel bracelet that measures 8.8 mm next to the lugs, and tapers to 6.4 mm.
This fantastic ladies Bulova Mermaid wristwatch runs great and will be a nice addition to any watch collection!
